Yamaha V MAX SHO 250 is the most powerful engine in the SHO series, combining the massive torque of a 4.2-liter V6 engine with a lightweight design and aggressive performance. This engine is designed for boaters who want maximum acceleration, speed, and a sporty ride without the added weight of the Offshore series.
At the heart of the engine is a 4169 cm³ DOHC V6 featuring Yamaha’s precise EFI fuel injection, optimized intake porting, and a high compression ratio. The result is instant throttle response, strong low-end torque, and smooth power delivery across the entire rpm range. The V MAX SHO 250 is significantly lighter than many comparable V6 engines, which improves the boat’s balance, top speed, and fuel economy.
The engine features PrimeStart™, TCI ignition, electric trim and tilt, and a powerful 50 A alternator that keeps the boat’s electronics running in all conditions. Variable trolling speed control allows for fine-tuning the speed in 50-rpm increments, making the VF250 an excellent choice for fishing as well.
