Suzuki DF80ATL is a new-generation 80-horsepower four-stroke outboard motor that combines a lightweight design, strong torque, and highly efficient fuel management. The engine is based on Suzuki’s 1.5-liter four-cylinder DOHC block, featuring 16 valves and electronic multi-point fuel injection (EFI). The high 2.59:1 gear ratio allows for the use of larger-diameter and higher-pitch propellers, which improves acceleration and carrying capacity, especially in heavier boats.

The DF80ATL utilizes Suzuki’s Lean Burn control system, which optimizes fuel delivery based on load and RPM. This reduces fuel consumption, particularly at cruising speeds, making the engine exceptionally fuel-efficient across the entire power range. The engine’s self-adjusting timing chain operates in an oil bath and is maintenance-free, which increases reliability and reduces maintenance costs.

The DF80ATL has a compact and balanced design. The forward-mounted drive shaft and two-stage reduction gear system reduce the engine’s overall size and shift the center of gravity forward, improving the boat’s balance and handling. The engine weighs just 156 kg, making it one of the lightest options in its class.

Usability is enhanced by electric start, remote control, the Easy Start system, and optional Keyless start and Troll Mode trolling control. The engine also features a powerful 27 A charging system, two flushing water connections, and a multi-layer anti-corrosion coating that extends service life in demanding conditions.
